The description or portrayal of someone or something.
"Glenn Ligon is a gay, African-American male who is a contemporary artist, I kind of know what he is talking about already like with the struggles people have had. For me, the biggest enjoyment is, and I don’t think that it is that obvious, is that it has been created by a black artist. I rarely see art by black artists in a gallery, especially Tate. So, this just makes me happy straight away, but it also makes me incredibly unhappy because I realise what isn’t there. But yes, I think that in a way, I see that it is a neon, it’s a loud sign that just says everything that America is, but it also highlights the huge problem that is happening there."
